The Nature of Intuition

In our thirteenth podcast episode we are talking about intuition and our innate connection with nature and how the two connect with our amazing guest speaker Suzanne Gamache. Suzanne uses her intuition both in her business and personal life and shares some of the ways in which others can do this too.

THE NATURE OF intuition

From a young age Suzanne was very much tuned into ‘that which we cannot see’. Later on in life this led her to train in Psychotherapy, Massage, Chinese Medicine, Reiki and other trainings that moved her beyond the psychosomatic approach and into the energetic approach which is where her intuition began to flourish even more.

  • Suzanne talks about her relationship with nature and the importance of it. She’s always been drawn to the outdoors and appreciated the beauty around her. Not just a sense of awe but a true connection - she talks about us being in communion with nature.

  • As Suzanne has developed her connection with nature she started using her intuitive channels to connect with nature and open herself up to receive. Suzanne realised that everything that we need, Mother Earth provides for us.

  • To receive and connect in this uniquely connective and deep way, Suzanne suggests grounding - all of our bodies - physical, emotional, mental and spiritual - sending roots from the bottom of your feet. Then feel the connection through those roots and what is being offered, to then bring it into your body and psyche.

  • We also discuss elements! What elements are you connected to? Earth, water, air or fire? Are you drawn to the seaside or woodland for example? There are many different ways to connect and ground. There is no one right way - just go with where you feel called to or pulled towards.

  • Is it dangerous to live in separation from nature? Are we not just an extension of nature? We discuss this and the benefits of working more deeply with nature and how it can mirror and reflect you working more deeply with yourself.

  • Suzanne gives some examples of how to tap into your intuition. She points out there are many different ways. Sometimes the expectation is to ‘see’ or ‘visualise’ like a clairvoyant gift, however it can be received through the body, emotions or feeling energy or just a sense of knowing. If you want to develop your intuition - pay attention to what your 5 senses are giving you and then look beyond these 5 senses - expand on them to get more information. Move into a sense of wonderment and curiosity.

  • Some practical examples that are suggested includes journaling. Suzanne also talks about automated writing and gives an example of how you can do it.

  • Our souls are wanting us to step into a bigger space than we are already. It can be difficult and challenging to do this and might cause ‘waves’ amongst the people around you. Your heart and soul are trying to lead you on a certain path, which means some things might ‘go’ as they are no longer serving you. Suzanne talks about asking your intuition to just show you the next step so you don’t feel overwhelmed.

  • Some other tips include to remember your ability to make a choice and stand in your own sovereignty. The ego will want to hold you in the place that is in the ‘known’. Suzanne shares her experiences of living more intuitively and the gifts it brings, allowing her to feel more nourished, connected and supported in her life than she ever has before.

  • Learning to trust your intuition is a BIG step and something that takes practice. Sally shares her story about how she battled against that but succeeded in the end.

  • If you would like to work with Suzanne there are many ways. One is the B Experience - a 3 month program that supports you as a business owner to create structures in your business but from an intuitive and energetic place. The summer season will start in June if you’re interested in signing up.
