out in the community

I work with communities to engage in the wellbeing benefits of creative expressive therapies through a variety of services. Working with both children and adults I provide mindful crafts, music clubs, intuitive workshops, team development days and wellbeing programs. I also do speaking events on various creative topics for the mind-body-soul.

I can also provide themed creative workshops for specialist schools and various community events including pop up activities for families using mindful art and crafts to promote a sense of inclusion, wellbeing and to encourage creative expression. Please get in touch to see how we can support your event, school, community or team!

MY BACKGROUND

I studied Creative Expressive Therapies BA Hons at Derby University which is a psychotherapy based degree exploring the therapeutic benefits using creative arts as a medium. I qualified with a first class honours and got accepted onto an Entrepreneurial Program to help me develop my business ideas and skills which included access to training, experts and a mentor. I launched my first well-being program in January 2015, a 6 week program that focused on working with a vision board each week using mindful practices, discussions and reflections on each topic to help attendees explore their thoughts and feelings through a therapeutic art medium. These programs ran for a year and included me working in the community with Derby Women’s Centre and Derby Carers as an additional support for mental health & wellbeing. Following this I designed my own journals and card decks to support this process further, deepening into the creative therapeutic model offering a supported outlet for inner work. I made my programs and workshops available to access online as well as in person.

I've also worked with children running a local music club and providing workshops for various schools to help the children explore their own creativity to gain confidence and experience self-expression in a supported environment.

I’ve also trained in many holistic therapy approaches including Reflexology, Reiki and many other Energy Healing Courses to help me explore my own intuition and spirituality but also to offer this support to others who may be seeking answers, healing and support through holistic outlets. I run online courses, workshops and a group membership to continue the support for others who are on a self-discovery journey, looking for connection, community and consistency in their development.

I now co-host a podcast and produce audio recordings which include various meditations and audio subscriptions. As a musician I’m exploring the connection between frequency, vibration and energy to support others on their own healing journey’s.

I offer talks on creative intuition in business, how to access soul wisdom, understanding consciousness and the awakening process that people experience when going through major life transitions. I also offer team building workshops to bring teams together whilst having fun exploring different creative approaches with a focus on communication styles to increase connection and productivity.

“We have asked Sally to provide creative art activities for adults and children at several of our events. Sally is passionate about facilitating the space for creative expression, with a mindful and therapeutic element that really makes the experience special for everyone. Sally works exceptionally well with others and is able to intuit ideas that have worked well for each event. We can’t thank her enough for bringing her skills and talents to our events. Fully recommend!”

“I asked Sally to facilitate an Anxiety Reset session for some of the unpaid Carers that access our Services in January 2023. Sally expertly stepped in with creativity and flexibility to produce a wonderful 90-minute face to face session. Alongside this, she produced a really wonderfully comprehensive and interactive digital handout that accompanied the session, which our clients can continue to access as a helpful resource moving forward. Thank you SO much Sally and I look forward to working with you again.”
